Planning your unforgettable journey with Ibhanilfa Safaris starts with ensuring a smooth entry into Tanzania and Zanzibar. Here’s everything you need to know about visas, entry requirements, and travel tips.
Do I Need a Visa to Visit Tanzania?
Yes, most international travelers require a visa to enter mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar. However, the process is straightforward and can be completed online or upon arrival.
Visa Options
1. Visa on Arrival
Available for citizens of most countries. You can obtain a visa upon arrival at major entry points including Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR), Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), Zanzibar International Airport (ZNZ), and land border crossings.
Fees: Typically USD $50 per person (USD $100 for U.S. passport holders, multiple-entry visa).
2. Online e-Visa
For a faster, contactless process, apply online through the official Tanzania Immigration eVisa Portal:
🌐https://visa.immigration.go.tz/guidelines (for guidelines)
Apply at least 2–3 weeks before travel.
